Youth Entrepreneurship Development Programme
The development of a knowledge-based economy and the advancement of the green economy are key priorities of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government. Supporting these priorities, Ithala is committed to empowering young people to develop innovative, sustainable business solutions that contribute to economic growth and job creation.
This programme is designed to inspire and equip aspiring entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35 to embrace entrepreneurship as a viable career path. By encouraging a shift in mindset from seeking employment to creating employment, the initiative empowers young people to unlock their entrepreneurial potential and become active contributors to the province’s economy.
Participants are encouraged to transform innovative ideas into sustainable business ventures through access to business development support, mentorship and practical guidance. The programme provides aspiring entrepreneurs with the tools, knowledge and resources needed to establish, manage and grow successful businesses, helping to build resilient enterprises that create lasting social and economic impact.
